Greenville unveils $50 million federal courthouse amid community progress
Greenville, Miss. — Mayor Errick D. Simmons and U.S. Congressman Bennie G. Thompson attended the unveiling of Greenville’s new federal courthouse, a $50 million project representing federal investment in the Mississippi Delta.
The courthouse is seen as more than a building. It symbolizes jobs, economic development, and renewed community confidence, according to a statement from Simmons.
“When we invest in Greenville, we invest in the Mississippi Delta,” Simmons said. “This courthouse is a symbol of progress, partnership, and possibility for generations to come.”
Simmons expressed gratitude to Thompson for his support and advocacy in securing federal funding for Greenville and the region. The partnership aims to strengthen the local economy and create opportunities for residents.
Officials emphasized the importance of collaboration and community-driven progress as Greenville moves forward with projects that foster growth and development.
