Greenville police arrest man, seize narcotics during search warrant
Greenville police arrested Lawrence Woodruff, 31, during a search warrant execution at a residence on the 1500 block of Miller Drive on Friday morning, May 8, 2026.
Members of the department’s Special Operations Unit and Special Response Team secured the property and detained Woodruff without incident, according to police. Investigators recovered a significant amount of suspected marijuana, controlled substances, digital scales, packaging materials associated with drug distribution, U.S. currency, ammunition, and other items connected to illegal narcotics activity.
Woodruff faces charges including possession of a controlled substance with intent, possession of methamphetamine with intent, and possession of ecstasy with intent. He is currently awaiting his initial court appearance at the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility.
No injuries were reported during the operation. Authorities said the case remains under active investigation, and additional charges may be filed pending further analysis of the seized evidence.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty, police added.
