Washington County Supports Workforce Development Initiatives

The Washington County Economic Alliance is supporting workforce initiatives aimed at creating job opportunities for local residents and meeting industry needs. The alliance has partnered with AccelerateMS, Mississippi Delta Community College, South Delta Planning & Development District, the Greenville WIN Job Center, and TIC – The Industrial Company.

The construction training program, developed through these partnerships, helped participants earn nationally recognized credentials. Graduates moved directly into well-paying jobs connected to the Delta Blues Advanced Power Station project.

Officials say programs like this strengthen the local workforce, support economic investments, and help prepare residents for current and future job markets. The alliance expressed gratitude for its partners, who are committed to building careers and communities in Washington County.
