Greenville Celebrates 90th Birthday of Local Resident Maggie Baldridge

Greenville officials marked the 90th birthday of local resident Maggie Baldridge on Tuesday, highlighting her contributions to the community. Mayor Errick D. Simmons praised her for her grace, wisdom, and faith, calling her a testament to love, resilience, and service that has impacted generations.

In a statement, Simmons said, “Ninety years of grace, wisdom, strength, and unwavering faith. Ms. Maggie’s life is a powerful testimony of love, resilience, and service—touching generations and leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire for years to come.”

Ward 4 Councilwoman Lurann Thomas-Kingdom also expressed gratitude, noting, “We thank God for Ms. Maggie and the light she continues to shine in Ward 4 and in Greenville.”

Both officials extended birthday wishes to Baldridge, emphasizing her role as a community blessing. Simmons concluded by sharing a scripture from Isaiah 46:4, which speaks of God’s sustaining presence through old age.
