Shots Fired in Tunica Subdivision Prompt Investigation and Reward Offer

Authorities in Tunica County are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in the Old Subdivision near Edwards Avenue and Freemont Street.

At approximately 4:12 a.m., the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting gunfire in the area. Deputies found two residences that had been struck and collected more than 90 shell casings at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

The incident raised concerns because senior citizens live in the targeted residences. Authorities plan to seek enhanced charges related to the shooting.

The sheriff’s office obtained video footage of the incident and is asking the public for help identifying two individuals seen in the footage. A reward of $1,000 is offered for information leading to the suspects’ identification, per officials.
