New Hope First Baptist Church to Celebrate Ushers Day on Oct. 25

New Hope First Baptist Church in Greenville, Mississippi, will host its annual Ushers Day program on Sunday, October 25, at 2 p.m., the church announced. The event will feature guest speaker Dr. Temika Michael Simmons.

Church officials emphasized the important role of ushers in creating a welcoming environment. They are described as servants of God who open doors, greet visitors, and foster a sense of community within the church.

“Serving God is not just about the position we hold, but the love we show, the lives we touch, and the difference we make,” the church said in a statement. The event aims to honor the dedication of the usher ministry and encourage the congregation to serve with faith and kindness.

Special recognition was given to Sis. Laverne Simpson, president; Sis. Avis Clark, vice president; Pastor Dr. Robert E. Kimble; and all members of the usher ministry for their service. The church invited everyone to come worship, celebrate, and be inspired by the message of faith and service.
