Mississippi wildlife officers honored in promotion ceremony

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) held a promotion pinning ceremony on March 2, 2026, in the Central Region. Four officers, each with five years of service, were promoted from the rank of Corporal to Sergeant.

The promoted officers are Sergeant Adam Wright, Sergeant Todd Verry, Sergeant Colby Miggins, and Sergeant Joey Neese. Miggins and Neese were not pictured at the event, according to MDWFP.

MDWFP officials congratulated the officers on their achievements and service to the department and state wildlife management efforts.
