MDWFP to hold annual Fallen Officer Memorial on Thursday
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks will hold its annual Fallen Officer Memorial on Thursday at 10 a.m. The event honors conservation officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, according to MDWFP.
The memorial coincides with National Police Week, established in 1962 to remember law enforcement personnel. The department encourages the public to view the service via live stream at https://vimeo.com/event/5911282?fl=so&fe=fs.
This annual event serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by officers to protect the community and natural resources. MDWFP officials said the memorial provides an opportunity for families, colleagues, and the public to pay tribute to fallen officers.
