Louisiana opens private lands alligator hunting applications online

Louisiana wildlife officials have announced that applications for the private lands alligator season are now open. The application process is exclusively online; mailed applications will not be accepted, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries said.

Applications will remain open until July 1, 2026. The draw for public waters alligator season will open June 1 and close June 12, according to the department.
