Hinds County deputies honored for DUI enforcement at Mississippi conference

The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office has recognized members of its DUI Enforcement Unit for their achievements at last week’s Sobriety Trained Officers Representing Mississippi (STORM) Conference.

Sergeant Bryant led the state with 274 DUI arrests and 408 child restraint and seatbelt violations. He was also elected to serve as treasurer on the STORM State Board, according to the sheriff’s office.

Corporal Evans finished second statewide with 253 DUI arrests and was reelected to the board as sergeant at arms. A new deputy, Neal, also was recognized for his dedication to impaired driving enforcement.

Officials praised the deputies for their hard work and commitment to safety. The sheriff’s office extended congratulations to all for their accomplishments, which aim to improve road safety in the community.
