Greenwood Warming Stations Open During Cold Weekend

Greenwood will open its warming stations from 7 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Monday as forecasted temperatures dip to between 15 and 39 degrees Fahrenheit, according to city officials.

The stations are located at the Greenwood Senior Citizens Building, 507 Howard Street, and at Old Fire Station No. 3, 106 E. Claiborne Ave., officials said.

Residents are encouraged to stay warm during the cold snap, officials added. The warming stations aim to provide relief for those experiencing homelessness or in need during the cold weather.
