Greenville woman charged in shooting at occupied home

Greenville police charged Jasmine Haynes with aggravated assault and shooting into a dwelling after a bullet entered an occupied home Sunday night, March 15, the department said.

Officers responded about 9:40 p.m. to a residence in the 300 block of South Hyman Street after reports of gunfire. A resident told officers she heard what sounded like a gunshot and that her grandson said someone had fired at him, police said.

Investigators found a bullet hole in the home’s storm door, and no injuries were reported. Police identified Haynes as a suspect during the investigation. Her bond was set at $25,000.
