Greenville Police to Hold ‘Sea of Blue’ Memorial Ride Friday

The Greenville Police Department is hosting a ‘Sea of Blue’ memorial ride to honor the lives and service of Investigator Myiesha Stewart and Officer Trey Lewis. The event is scheduled for Friday, October 9, at the Washington County Convention Center, starting at 7 p.m., according to the department.

Community members, including families, friends, businesses, churches, and organizations, are encouraged to participate. Participants are invited to line the route, wave flags, turn on blue lights, and show support for the families. The procession will begin at the convention center and travel north on Raceway Road, west on Highway 82, north on Main Street, and end at the levee front.

The department described the event as a way for Greenville to remember the officers’ legacies and stand together as a community. The organizers urged residents to share the invitation and help turn the streets into a true ‘Sea of Blue.’

Greenville officials emphasized the importance of honoring the fallen, supporting their families, and never forgetting their sacrifices.
