GREENVILLE, Miss. — Greenville police arrested a man Friday following a package theft investigation that led to a traffic stop and the recovery of stolen property and drugs.
At approximately 1:05 p.m., officers responded to reports of individuals stealing packages from residences in the Country Club Estates area. A citizen reported observing a man removing packages from homes and leaving in a Nissan Sentra with a Florida license plate, according to police.
Officers located a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop near Devonshire Place. During the stop, they found multiple packages, golf clubs, and a respirator inside the vehicle. A subsequent search also yielded suspected controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
The driver, identified as Kyler Davies, was taken into custody and transported to the Greenville Police Department for processing. He faces charges of grand larceny, possession of drugs or narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The police department credited a citizen’s tip for helping officers quickly locate the vehicle.
