Greenville police are investigating the city’s first homicide of 2026 after a man was found dead on Lowe’s Road Tuesday afternoon.

At approximately 3:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person lying in the roadway in the 1900 block of Lowe’s Road. They found the body of a Black male who appeared to have been shot multiple times, police said.

The victim was identified as 21-year-old Tony Parker Jr., of Greenville, by family members. An investigation revealed that Parker’s 2022 Toyota Camry was stolen. The vehicle was later found abandoned near Causey and Baskin Drive on Wednesday.

Authorities are working with the Department of Homeland Security to process evidence. Police Chief Marcus Turner Sr. urged the public to provide any information that could assist the case. Tips can be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers at (662) 378-8477. A reward of up to $2,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.

Turner expressed sympathy for Parker’s family and emphasized ongoing federal partnerships in the investigation. He encouraged anyone with information to come forward to help bring justice and closure to the family.
