Greenville police arrest woman on meth charges during burglary probe

Greenville police executed a search warrant Wednesday at a residence on Wallstreet Lane as part of an investigation into multiple burglaries and stolen property, according to authorities.

Members of the Greenville Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division and Special Operations Division conducted the search, with officers securing the home while investigators gathered evidence and documented items recovered inside.

Several people present at the residence were detained and transported to the police station for questioning. During the search of a bedroom reportedly occupied by Tia Spencer, officers found suspected methamphetamine and two methamphetamine pipes.

Spencer was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, police said. Investigators are continuing to look into property linked to the burglaries and are working to determine ownership and involvement of other individuals.

After the search, officers noticed a vehicle on the property had been moved. They later located the vehicle at another location and towed it as part of the investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities urged anyone with information about the burglaries to contact the Greenville Police Department or Crime Stoppers. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
