Greenville police arrest suspect in storage unit burglary

Greenville police arrested Leslie Fortenberry on Oct. 26 in connection with a burglary at a storage facility on Highway 1 South. Fortenberry was charged with commercial/business burglary, the Greenville Police Department said.

Officers responded to Southridge Storage, at 2343 Highway 1 South, on Oct. 7 after a report of a burglary involving storage unit 695. Police said the incident occurred between about 7:15 and 8:15 p.m. Oct. 6.

The tenant reported that personal belongings, including an older computer monitor, were missing. The value of the property had not been determined, police said.

The department’s Criminal Investigation Division investigated the case. Police said they are continuing to examine the circumstances, including the possible involvement of other people.
