Greenville police arrest man in connection with kidnapping and sexual assault case

The Greenville Police Department has arrested Kordarial Hughes in connection with a kidnapping and sexual assault investigation that started in April 2026, authorities said.

According to police, officers responded to Delta Health on April 13, 2026, after a report of a sexual assault. Investigators learned that the victim was taken to a location in Greenville and assaulted without consent. The case was assigned to the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.

Felony arrest warrants were issued for Hughes on charges of kidnapping and rape. On Friday, September 11, 2026, officers located Hughes at his residence, detained him without incident and transported him to the police department for booking, police said.

The Greenville Police Department said it is withholding identifying information about the victim due to the sensitive nature of sexual assault cases. The investigation remains active.
