Greenville hosts Halloween event with safety and fun in mind
Greenville is hosting its annual Spooky Trails Halloween event tonight, encouraging residents, families, and visitors to wear costumes and participate in festivities, according to Mayor Errick D. Simmons.
Mayor Simmons urged the community to support the Parks & Recreation Department and enjoy a safe, family-friendly evening. He emphasized the importance of looking out for children and celebrating responsibly, saying, “Let’s get spooky, support our parks, and keep safety our top priority.”
Parking for the event will be at Bologna Tennis Court, also known as the tailgate area, with Greenville Police Department directing traffic. The Harty parking lot is reserved for candy station groups only, and safety remains a focus for organizers.
Organizers thanked the Parks & Recreation Department, police, volunteers, and community partners for their support. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and enjoy the festivities while adhering to safety guidelines.
A public notice reminded participants that all parking is at Bologna and that the police will manage traffic flow. The event aims to provide a fun, safe environment for all.
