Greenville Encourages Voter Registration on National Voter Registration Day

Greenville is urging residents to participate in National Voter Registration Day on September 15. The city, in partnership with the Greenville Fire Department, Parks & Recreation Department, and the Greenville chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., will host registration events from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Locations include the Buster Brown Community Center, Greenville City Hall, and fire stations across the city. The first three attendees at each site will receive a free gas card, while supplies last, according to organizers.

Mayor Errick D. Simmons emphasized the importance of voting. “Voting is one of the most powerful ways we can make our voices heard and help shape the future of our community,” he said. “I encourage every eligible Greenville resident to register, stay informed, and participate.”

City officials said the initiative aims to boost civic engagement and strengthen the community. The event underscores the message that every voice matters in shaping Greenville’s future.
