Dense fog reduces visibility in southern Mississippi through Wednesday morning

Areas of dense fog are expected to reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less across far southern Mississippi through 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Patchy dense fog could develop as far north as Interstate 20. Motorists are advised to slow down and use low beam headlights in affected areas.

Authorities recommend extra caution while driving in foggy conditions to prevent accidents.
