Delta Compass credits groups for helping youth attend Hawaii conference

Delta Compass said funding from the Aspen Forum for Community Solutions and Rural LISC enabled young people from the Mississippi Delta to attend the Community Solutions Conference in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The organization said the conference gave participants a chance to learn from leaders across the country and see how communities work together to create change.

Delta Compass said it aims to help young people take pride in their home communities and gain the confidence, knowledge and opportunities to shape their future.

The organization said it hopes young people who leave the Delta will return equipped to help build their communities.
