Yazoo County sheriff to relaunch senior safety program

Yazoo County Sheriff Jeremy “Bull” McCoy said the county is bringing back the Senior Citizen Triad Program, a community safety initiative for older adults.

The program focuses on preventing elder abuse, scams and financial exploitation; conducting wellness checks; helping seniors prepare for emergencies; and providing crime prevention education.

The first event is scheduled for noon Nov. 18 at the Ricks Memorial Library Conference Center, 310 North Main St. For more information, call 662-763-8311.
