Washington County Announces Grant and New Company Investment

Washington County officials announced an $83,000 Rural Business Development Grant for District 4 and a new company that will bring more than $40 million in ad valorem taxes to the county.

The funds are allocated for essential services including roads, bridges, law enforcement, fire protection, justice systems, community services, healthcare, infrastructure, and education, according to county representatives.

While officials noted they have limited influence over how these funds are distributed, they expressed hope that public safety remains a priority in their utilization. County leaders reaffirmed their support for first responders and the residents of District 4.

They closed by extending well wishes to the community and asking for divine blessings on Washington County.
