Upcoming Primary Election Deadline Approaching in Mississippi

Mississippi residents must register to vote by Feb. 9 to participate in the upcoming primary election on March 10. The election will feature races for the U.S. House and Senate, as well as local and state offices, according to the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office.

Voters can register by mail or in person. To register by mail, residents must print the registration form and mail it to their county circuit clerk, with the form postmarked by Feb. 9. The form is available at the Secretary of State’s website.

In-person registration is available at the county circuit clerk’s office or municipal clerk’s office during weekday hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 8 a.m. to noon. The last day to register in person is Feb. 9.

Voters who have already registered can confirm their registration status online through the Mississippi Secretary of State’s website. Additional election information and resources are available at the state’s election toolkit website.
