Storm Threats Forecasted for Saturday in Mississippi and Surrounding Areas

A line of storms is forecast to move across parts of Mississippi on Saturday into Saturday evening, according to the National Weather Service in Jackson.

The primary threats include damaging winds and hail. Forecasters say tornadoes cannot be ruled out as the storms develop.

In addition to severe weather, there is a potential for flash flooding in the ArkLaMiss Delta region, where heavy rainfall may lead to localized flooding, the weather service warned.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and take necessary precautions to stay safe during the storm system.
