Scattered showers and storms forecast across the region

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are currently impacting some areas, with coverage expected to grow throughout the day, weather officials said.

Rain chances are forecast to be medium to high, with most locations seeing less than a half-inch of rain. Isolated spots could receive 1 to 2 inches during thunderstorms, the National Weather Service reported.

Some areas may see little to no rain at all, officials added. Residents are advised to stay alert for changing weather conditions and remain cautious during storms.
