Police: Man fatally shot at Horn Lake restaurant; suspect in custody

Horn Lake police responded to a report of gunfire at 749 Goodman Road, home to Kabuki restaurant, on Oct. 11, 2026, at approximately 8:35 p.m., according to a news release from the department.

Officers arriving at the scene found a 24-year-old man unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was identified as Justin Conrad and was transported to Baptist Desoto Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

While investigating, police learned that a second victim, Jaelind Conrad, 24, arrived at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Jaelind, confirmed to be Justin’s twin brother, was later moved to Regional One Trauma Center and was listed in stable condition.

Another man, 25-year-old Marterius McShane, also showed up at Regional One Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg. Police learned that McShane had allegedly shot both Conrad brothers during the incident and fled the scene.

Investigators say McShane was shot in the leg during his escape by an unknown individual in the parking lot, who has not been identified. A warrant for murder has been issued for McShane, who remains hospitalized at Regional One until he is medically cleared to be taken into custody. Authorities continue to seek information from the public and urge anyone with details to contact the Horn Lake Police Department at 662-393-6174.
