Panola County teen reported missing found safe

Panola County authorities have confirmed that 14-year-old Emma Matas has been located and is safe. She was last seen at her residence on Phelps Road in southern Panola County around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the Panola County Sheriff’s Office.

The PCSO issued a search for Matas after she was reported as a runaway. Authorities thanked the public for their prayers and shares during the search.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Panola County E-911 call center at 662-487-2430.
