Panola County police seek suspect in Dollar General robbery

Panola County authorities are investigating an armed robbery that took place last night at approximately 10 p.m. at the Dollar General located at McDowell Road and Highway 6.

According to the Panola County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, a man armed with a firearm entered the store as it was closing. The suspect, described as a black male wearing a hoodie and face covering, forced employees to open the safe, from which he took money.

The suspect then fled the scene in a gray-colored vehicle heading west on Highway 6. Authorities have not reported any injuries.
