National Weather Service Jackson Warns of Lightning Dangers During Thunderstorms

Thunderstorms can produce deadly lightning strikes that reach up to 10 miles away, according to the National Weather Service in Jackson, Mississippi.

The agency advises the public to remember the safety message: “See a flash, dash inside.”
