National Small Business Week kicks off today

Today marks the start of National Small Business Week, a nationwide celebration of small businesses and their contributions to the economy.

Local organizations are encouraging residents to support their favorite small businesses in Mississippi’s Delta region. This includes efforts by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Mississippi Delta Regional Authority, and other partners.

Participating groups also include the Greenville-Washington County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Mississippi Business Alliance, and Mississippi Development Authority, all promoting local economic development during the week.

Small businesses are vital to the region’s economy, and officials hope the week will raise awareness and foster community support.
