Mississippi to host waterfowl hunting weekend for youth, veterans, and active military

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks announced that the weekend of February 7-8 will feature a waterfowl hunting opportunity for youth, veterans, and active military members.

All Wildlife Management Areas with waterfowl hunting opportunities will be open on these dates. Regulations and bag limits will mirror those of the regular season.

Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis, with no drawings. Hunters are encouraged to check for nearby WMAs by visiting the department’s website at https://www.mdwfp.com/wildlife-hunting/wildlife-species-program/waterfowl-program/waterfowl-hunting-opportunities.
