Mississippi to Host 2026 Gamebird Workshop at Marion County WMA

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks announced an upcoming Gamebird Workshop scheduled for May 22, 2026, at Marion County Wildlife Management Area.

The event is open to hunters, landowners, and outdoor enthusiasts interested in learning more about managing gamebirds in the state. Organizers say the workshop offers a valuable opportunity to expand skills related to gamebird conservation and management.

The workshop is hosted by Mississippi State University Extension’s Gamebird Program, in collaboration with MDWFP, Mississippi State University Extension Services, Quail Forever, and the National Wild Turkey Federation. Interested participants are encouraged to register online through the MDWFP website.

Registration is currently open for the event, which aims to promote sustainable gamebird practices across Mississippi.
