Mississippi sheriff’s offices receive over $10.5 million in federal funding
Sheriffs in Mississippi’s Second Congressional District have been awarded more than $10.5 million in federal funding, according to Sheriff K.C. Hamp Sr.
Hamp praised the hard work and dedication of the law enforcement agencies, noting the funds will support a wide range of public safety needs. These include new records management systems, jail management software, law enforcement equipment, cameras, body cameras, facial recognition software, and AED devices.
He also congratulated Congressman Bennie G. Thompson for securing the funding. Hamp described the money as a significant boost for local law enforcement agencies in the district.
“Job well done,” Hamp said. “Your law enforcement partner, K.C. Hamp, Sr.”
