Mississippi Set for March 10 Primary Election
Mississippi’s 2026 primary election is scheduled for March 10. Voters will select candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate, according to the Mississippi Secretary of State’s office.
Polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Any voter in line at 7 p.m. will be allowed to cast a ballot, in accordance with state law, said Secretary of State Michael Watson.
Watson emphasized the importance of voting and encouraged residents to participate in all elections, whether municipal or federal, as they impact daily life. He also urged residents to motivate family, friends, and neighbors to vote this election day.
Election officials remind voters to bring proper identification and be prepared for any COVID-19 safety protocols that may be in place.
