A Mississippi man was arrested Tuesday following a month-long investigation into allegations of child enticement and human trafficking. Bailey Jones, 30, of Lake, Mississippi, was taken into custody by Cleveland police and charged with one count of enticement of a child to depict sexually explicit material and one count of human trafficking, according to police.
Authorities executed a search warrant at Jones’ home with assistance from multiple agencies, including the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations Special Victims Unit, the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety Crime Scene Unit, the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the Mississippi Department of Corrections K9 Unit, and the Scott County Sheriff’s Department.
Jones was transported to Bolivar County, where he appeared before Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Warren Bell. Bond was set at $750,000 for each charge. He remains in custody at the Bolivar County Jail. Cleveland Police Chief Dudley Tribble thanked the participating agencies and investigators for their efforts. Police emphasized that Jones is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
