Mississippi faces enhanced risk of severe storms Thursday

Parts of Mississippi are under an enhanced risk of severe weather Thursday, with a Level 3 of 5 in the storm risk scale, the National Weather Service said.

The agency warned residents to prepare for damaging winds up to 70 mph, hail up to golf ball size, and the possibility of tornadoes, including the potential for a strong tornado.
