Mississippi Business Journal Recognizes Washington County Women Leaders

Justin Archer Burch praised La’Toyia J. Slay, Sarah Ozbun, and Ann Marie Malouf Smythe for exemplifying leadership and professionalism in Washington County. Their recognition by the Mississippi Business Journal underscores their contributions to strengthening the region.

“Women like La’Toyia, Sarah and Ann Marie remind us that when women lead, they do more than open doors for themselves; they expand the possibilities for the communities they call home,” Burch said.

The recognition was announced through a post from Delta Compass, which is affiliated with WCEA. The acknowledgment highlights the growing influence of women leaders in Mississippi’s business and community sectors.

The awardees’ achievements have been celebrated by local organizations including the Mississippi Development Authority, the City of Greenville, the Greenville-Washington County Chamber of Commerce, the Mississippi Convention & Visitors Bureau, and others.

Media outlets such as the Delta Business Journal, The Delta News, The Leland Progress, the Delta Democrat Times, Mississippi Free Press, Delta Lodging Group, and Life in the Delta Magazine also highlighted the recognition.
