MDCC Opens Applications for Summer Certified Nursing Assistant Program

Mississippi Delta Community College is accepting applications for its 10-week Summer Health Care Assistant (Certified Nursing Assistant) program. The program is designed to meet the high demand for qualified CNAs in hospitals and healthcare facilities, according to college officials.

The program offers a full-time, college credit course that is Pell eligible. It features an evening hybrid format with clinical hours on weekends. The program serves as a stepping stone to other nursing programs, college representatives said.

Classes will be held on the MDCC Moorhead campus. The application deadline is May 8. Applicants must submit required documents to the Health Sciences office by that date to be considered for summer admission. The same documents are due by July 1 for fall admission and Dec. 5 for spring admission, college officials added.
