Hinds County sheriff’s office investigates fatal shooting in Bolton

The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting on Bolton-Brownsville Road in Bolton, according to a news release. The victim is identified as 27-year-old Chaddrick Kentrell Brown, authorities said.

Law enforcement officers responded to the scene in the 200 block of Bolton-Brownsville Road. A Black male suspect is in custody, the sheriff’s office confirmed.

Bolton Police and Capitol Police are assisting with processing the scene, officials added. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released.
