Hinds County Sheriff, Police Chief Urge Caution Ahead of Winter Storm

Hinds County Sheriff Tyree D. Jones and Jackson Police Chief James Davis issued a joint statement Thursday warning residents about an approaching winter storm. The officials urged residents to take precautions to protect themselves, their families, and neighbors.

They warned of hazardous road conditions, freezing temperatures, and limited visibility. Authorities asked residents to avoid unnecessary travel and stay off the roads once conditions worsen. This allows emergency responders and utility crews to operate safely and efficiently.
