Hinds County deputies celebrate Read Across America at Gary Road Elementary

Hinds County Sheriff’s Office school resource officers spent yesterday celebrating Read Across America with students at Gary Road Elementary School.

Deputies shared stories, encouraged reading, and fostered positive relationships with students, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The department expressed pride in its officers for investing in children and helping to inspire a lifelong love of reading across Hinds County.
