Hinds County Chancery Courthouse cleared after threat investigation

The Hinds County Chancery Courthouse was evacuated Tuesday after a threat involving a hazardous device prompted an emergency response, according to law enforcement officials.

Authorities responded promptly to the scene. After an extensive investigation, officials determined there was no threat, and normal operations resumed.
