Greenville police arrest murder suspect with help of FLOCK technology

Greenville police arrested a suspect wanted for murder after a chase that began with the use of FLOCK camera technology. On Wednesday, February 11, officers received an alert about a stolen 2019 Kia Rio in the Alexander and Colorado area, according to the Greenville Police Department.

Officers located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The driver fled, leading to a pursuit that ended when the vehicle crashed near Delta and Colorado. The suspect then fled on foot and was taken into custody near an abandoned residence on Delta Street, police said.

The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Elijah Qualls of Greenville. Further investigation revealed Qualls is wanted by Warren County for murder and aggravated assault, authorities added.

He faces charges of felony fleeing and possession of a stolen vehicle. Qualls is currently awaiting his initial court appearance at the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty, police said.
