Greenville partners with museums to bring ‘Story to Stage’ exhibit for youth education

The City of Greenville is partnering with the Mississippi Children’s Museum and the Washington County Library System to bring the ‘Story to Stage: America250’ traveling exhibit to the community. The exhibit offers a hands-on experience designed to promote youth development, education, and literacy, according to a news release from the city.

Officials say the exhibit aims to engage young people through storytelling, history, and creativity. The goal is to help children build confidence, expand their imagination, and connect with American history. The initiative represents a broader effort to prepare the next generation to lead and thrive, city officials said.

A press conference for the exhibit’s launch is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at the William Alexander Percy Memorial Library. Mayor Errick D. Simmons emphasized the importance of the program, stating that it reflects the city’s commitment to education and youth development as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary.

The exhibit will be on display from March 25, 2025, through May 12, 2026, at the Washington County Library System, according to the release.
