Greenville, Mississippi, Recognized as a National Growth City in Revitalization Effort

Greenville, Mississippi, is one of eight cities nationwide selected by the New Growth Innovation Network, according to a recent announcement.

The city is working in partnership with the City of Greenville, Mississippi, Government, and Delta Compass to revitalize a large brownfield site. The project is in the predevelopment Phase I and demolition stages, nearing completion, officials said.

Local and state organizations are supporting the effort, including the Mississippi Development Authority, Delta Business Journal, and the Delta News. The initiative has garnered national interest, with resources and capacity being directed toward the project, which aims to boost economic development in the region.

Additional partners include the Mississippi Arts Commission, the Mississippi Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Mississippi Regional Authority. The project highlights ongoing efforts to revitalize the Mississippi Delta and promote growth in the Greenville area.
