Greenville Mid-Delta Airport earns FAA certification, expands flight options

Greenville Mid-Delta Airport has officially received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 139 Certification and Class I Airport Designation, marking a significant milestone for the region, according to Mayor Errick D. Simmons.

The certification allows for larger aircraft, increasing from about 30 to roughly 50 passenger seats. It also expands commercial air service opportunities and enhances aviation safety and security, officials said.
