Greenville man charged with four counts of auto burglary, bond set at $150,000
GREENVILLE, Miss. — A Greenville man has been charged with four counts of auto burglary following a series of vehicle break-ins, according to the Greenville Police Department.
Officers responded Thursday to the Hospital Street area after reports of a vehicle burglary. They learned that an individual had entered a parked vehicle without permission. Further investigation uncovered additional reports of vehicle entries nearby.
Police located and detained a suspect near the intersection of Abraham Street and Railroad Street. The individual was identified as Freddie Pam Jr., who was initially charged with public drunkenness and placed on an investigative hold.
After further investigation by the department’s Criminal Investigation Division, Pam Jr. was formally charged with four counts of auto burglary. His bond was set at $150,000.
The Greenville Police Department emphasized its commitment to investigating property crimes and protecting residents’ property. Authorities encouraged residents to secure their vehicles, remove valuables, and report suspicious activity. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
