Greenville hosts community resource event after winter storm
GREENSVILLE, Miss. — Mayor Errick D. Simmons and the City of Greenville teamed up with Greater St. Matthews AME Church to host a community resource giveaway in response to Winter Storm Fern.
The event aimed to provide essential supplies to residents affected by the winter weather. City officials, faith leaders, volunteers, and community partners joined forces to distribute resources intended to help families recover and stabilize.
“During moments like these, it’s important that we come together as a community,” Simmons said. “This partnership reflects our commitment to meeting people where they are and ensuring our residents know they are not facing recovery alone.”
The initiative was designed to offer immediate assistance during a critical period for many Greenville residents, officials said.
